The Mobile Unit
Our mobile unit brings free services to communities around Jefferson City, where transportation is a barrier. See how your gift keeps it on the road.
Transportation is often a problem for the women we serve. So in May 2018, we purchased a mobile unit that takes pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and other services to surrounding communities.
When and where it travels
The mobile unit travels when temperatures are consistently above freezing, about mid-April through October. It also visits special events, such as county fairs, college events, festivals and back-to-school events.
What your gift makes possible
Fuel, upkeep, insurance and the staff and volunteers who drive and assist all depend on donors. Your gift puts care within reach of a woman who could not otherwise get to us. You can also volunteer to drive or assist on the unit.
