Privacy Policy
How Friends of The Well Clinic collects, uses and protects your information on supportthewell.org, including forms, online giving and cookies.
Friends of The Well Clinic (formerly Friends of PHC) is the donor and volunteer community of The Well Clinic (formerly Pregnancy Help Center), 1433 Southwest Boulevard, Jefferson City, MO 65109. This policy explains what information we collect on supportthewell.org, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.
Information you give us
When you use a form on this site, you choose what to share. Our volunteer, contact and event registration forms ask for details such as your name, phone number, email address and message, plus the positions or events you are interested in.
If you give 00 or more, we may ask for additional information to complete the Missouri Pregnancy Resource Center Tax Credit application. We share it only with the Missouri Department of Social Services, as that process requires.
How we use your information
We use your information to reply to you, to schedule volunteers and events, to process and acknowledge gifts and tax credit applications, and to keep in touch about our work. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Forms and email
When you submit a form on this website, the information you enter is sent to our staff by email through a third-party email delivery service (Resend). Only staff who need it to respond to you have access to these messages.
Online giving and event registration
Online gifts are processed by our third-party giving service (eGiving) on its own secure site, and some event registrations are handled by a third-party registration service (Fundeasy). We never see or store your card or bank details. Those services handle your information under their own privacy policies, and we receive the information needed to record your gift or registration and to thank you.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you request, to deliver the website and keep it secure.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
With your consent, we use:
- Google Analytics, to understand how visitors find and use the website;
- Google advertising features, which may use cookies to show our ads to you on other websites;
- Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with our pages, such as clicks and scrolling, so we can improve the website. Clarity is set to hide what you type into form fields.
These tools load only after you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Decline, none of them load. Your choice is saved in your browser, and you can change it at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com (opens in a new tab), and learn more in the Google (opens in a new tab) and Microsoft (opens in a new tab) privacy statements.
Error monitoring
If a page fails to work correctly in your browser, the website sends a technical error report (the error message, the page address and your browser type) to our error monitoring service, GlitchTip, so we can fix the problem. Error reports do not include what you type into our forms and are not used to identify you.
Do Not Track
There is no common standard for responding to browser “Do Not Track” signals, so the website does not respond to them. Analytics and advertising tools load only if you accept them on the cookie banner.
Who we share information with
We share information only:
- with service providers that work on our behalf, such as website hosting, email delivery, online giving and event registration, analytics and error monitoring;
- with the Missouri Department of Social Services, for tax credit applications you ask us to submit;
- when required by law, such as to comply with a court order or legal process;
- when needed to protect the rights, property or safety of our donors, volunteers, staff or others.
We may also share de-identified or aggregated information that does not identify you, such as overall website traffic reports.
How long we keep information
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including gift and tax records we are required to keep. Analytics information is kept according to our settings with those providers.
Keeping your information safe
Information you send through the website is encrypted in transit (SSL), and access is limited to staff who need it. No method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
